Taking the first step toward healing can be overwhelming, and you don’t have to do it alone. Therapy is a space for compassion, curiosity, and growth. I invite you to reach out when you’re ready! Together, we can explore whether my style of support feels like the right fit for you.
Where Healing Begins With Being Heard
Roby Gonzalez
She/They/Ella
Sharing your story is one of the scariest—and bravest—things you can do, and I want to honor that.
My clients are open to the healing process, with all of its messiness. Together, we’ll make meaning of your story so you know you are not alone on this journey. Life is too short to keep losing time to the anxieties, fears, and traumas that try to control us. I want you to find the freedom to be yourself, to make mistakes and grow, to strengthen existing relationships and create new ones, and to discover joy in everyday moments. In short——I want you to live a meaningful life.

I want to dispel the myth that therapy is where you talk and I absent-mindedly jot down notes. Therapy is a partnership.

Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) we’ll explore the parts of you that protect and carry pain, shift unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, and find balance in life’s challenges. Together, we’ll explore what feels most supportive for you. My approach is compassionate, HAES® aligned, and affirming of LGBTQIA+ identities.

With degrees from Stanford University and Boston University’s School of Medicine and over 5 years of research and counseling experience, I've dedicated my career to walking alongside clients in healing. I have special experience supporting Black, Indigenous Women of Color (BIWOC), adults, and adolescents in high-acuity clinical settings.

Individual Therapy
Explore your thoughts, feelings, and goals while developing tools for personal growth and healing. Individual therapy is tailored to who you are and what you need, helping you explore inner experiences and move toward a more connected and fulfilling life. In a judgement-free and collaborative space, we work to understand emotional patterns, build practical coping skills, and foster greater self-compassion and clarity.
Relationship Therapy
Collaboratively practice how to strengthen communication, deepen connection, and navigate challenges as a team. Relationship therapy is about creating a supportive and collaborative space where you and your partner(s) work to understand relational patterns, improve communication, and rebuild trust and emotional connection. This work supports deeper connection, mutual understanding, and more effective ways of navigating challenges together in a warm, nonjudgmental environment.
Presentations
Engage your group in practical, evidence-informed conversations about mental health, emotional well-being, and personal growth. Mental health presentations are designed to provide accessible education, encourage meaningful discussion, and equip participants with realistic strategies they can apply in everyday life. Each presentation is tailored to the unique needs of your organization, creating an engaging and supportive learning experience that promotes awareness, resilience, and overall well-being.

Good Faith Estimate
I believe in being transparent about the cost of care so you can make informed decisions about your mental health treatment. If you don't have health insurance or choose not to use your insurance benefits, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of your therapy services before you begin treatment.
A Good Faith Estimate outlines the anticipated costs of services based on the information available at the time it is provided. You may request an estimate at any time before scheduling or beginning services.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill through a federal patient-provider dispute resolution process.
For more information about your rights under the No Surprises Act, visit the CMS website or call 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227).
Out-Of-Network Claims
While I am not currently in-network with any health insurances, I help my clients submit for reimbursement with their insurance providers.
Sliding Scale Rates
I offer a limited number of spots on my caseload for sliding or reduced rates for clients with higher financial need. If this sounds like you, welcome! I believe in improving access to mental healthcare and am here to help you take the next step in your healing journey.

Start Your Healing Journey Today
Step 1: Book a Free Consultation
Schedule a no-cost 15-minute phone or video consultation at a time that works for you. This is an opportunity for us to connect, discuss what you're looking for in therapy, and determine whether we're a good fit to work together.
Step 2: Connect and Ask Questions
During our consultation, you'll have the chance to share what brings you to therapy, ask any questions you may have, and learn more about my approach. We'll also review what to expect, including confidentiality, paperwork, and the next steps if you choose to move forward.
Step 3: Begin Your Therapy Journey
Your intake appointment is the first step in building a meaningful therapeutic relationship. During our initial 45-minute session, we'll explore your background, current concerns, and goals so I can better understand your unique experiences and create a treatment plan tailored to your needs.
Land Acknowledgement
My practice occupies the ancestral, traditional, and contemporary lands of the Karankawa (ka·ran·ka·wa) people, their ancestors, and their descendants. Their sovereignty was never ceded, despite their violent removal. I am committed to honoring tribal history and uplifting contemporary voices and actions in therapy. In offering this land acknowledgement, I affirm and support Karankawa sovereignty, history, and the ongoing connection of elders past, present, and future to this land.
